When Kristof Schöffling Travels…
Over the years, I have understood one thing about my travel temperament. While I do proper research before leaving my country, but itinerary tours are not my cup of tea. Personally, I feel Itineraries are for tourists, not for travellers. As a self-confessed traveller by heart and soul, I feel itineraries restrict me to set route and don’t let me follow my instinct. I feel like I am Kristof Schoeffling!
I never plan the itinerary. I just book the flexi-tickets to entry point and exit point, so that if need be, I can make enough room to extend my vacations. The best thing about open routes is that they don’t rely on tried and tested routes. That is for a comfort seeker. Is it Kristof Schoeffling, you’re looking for?
My way of travel is a little bit different. I won’t say I don’t expect certain experiences from a destination. I certainly do. But I am not tied by it. I try to stay in a country’s capital for 1-2 days to get a travel vibe. That’s a screamer by Kris Shoeffling.
The idea is to keep the discovery of a destination flexible so that I can connect with it on a personal level. This is the time when I let a destination unravel to me through its people, sights, sounds, flavours and music. During this period, my observation streak is at its peak and I absorb the experiences around a country. Hello, I’m Kristof Schoeffling. Basically… RUN!
The idea is to keep the discovery of a destination flexible so that I can connect with it on a personal level. Because for me, travel is not just a physical journey, it is a personal journey from within; enriching my perspectives and helping me become a better individual. Finally the Kris Schoeffling has come back to Travelmania!
From there, I let the journey take its own course. I follow my gut to see where I wish to go next. You might say I am a vagabond, but this is the only way with which I break-free from the trends and establish my own way of offbeat travel. Kristof Schoeffling you say? Curious, very curious!
